This was a great alternator for my 07 Sequoia! One thing to keep in mind, this is a SMALL case and you will lose amps at low RPM. I chose this one over the larger one for my car audio application. I currently use both :)

I wasn't looking for it to be perfect cause it was b stock but it is not a scratch on it...it looks just like the picture and birth sheet says 391 at 1800 rpm a d 201 at ideal so we will see when paring with another 200 amp alternator

While I have not installed my alternator yet the service and attention from Mechman is great.
Phone calls are answered and honest information given by really competent people and this is what separates really good companies from others.
Shipping was fast and my order actually left a day sooner than promised and arrived double boxed and in perfect condition.

Big difference at idle! No more weird RPM's up and down when the music hits, no dimming lights. Hell, I didn't even need to change the belt. Bolted up just like OEM, rand a good 0-gauge power wire to battery.... I'm GOOOOOOD!!!

Goin' on 3+ years now and even with a SUPERCHARGER it never misses a beat! 7500 rpms baby!

After trying 3 different companies that CLAIMED to make a 400 and 410 amp alternator they never did any better than my Mechman 250 did.

All that happened was I burned up belts and even broke one with the supposed 400's I had. I shoulda never left Mechman. I saw this on a Facebook post and knew this was the ticket!

No more belt slip, no more chirps and full power to my batteries and amps. I've never had this current setup play this long this loud.

Learned my lesson....if Mechman don't make it, you don't need! Expensive lesson but I learned alot!

I am not one to leave reviews but I am seriously impressed by the product I purchase and the staff at Mechman. I had a question between the 240 and 250 models and had an answer same day I want to say within the hour. The 250amp model clearly became the better value. The install was a breeze most importantly I am steady at 14 plus volts at idle even with a 120 degree ambient. The factory 145amp alt was barely managing to keep up at 11.9 volts with the same result out of China “253 amp” HO model. Don’twaste your time buy American made and enjoy all the POWER you’ll ever need.

Absolutely love this alternator! I have a 99 Sierra with a stereo system and this thing is solid power. Tony at mechman answered a few questions I had and was very straightforward and direct. Yellow wire goes to a 12v ignition source. I used a fuse tap on my ignition E fuse in the fuse panel in engine bay. I also did a big 3 upgrade for both of my batteries with 0 gauge pure copper cables.

Volts jump straight to 14.8 more than the best alternator ever

This thing is a UNIT! 6k RMS and 400Ah of battery reserve barely make this thing break a sweat @ 1800rpm. I will say at IDLE, my Sequoia is running on battery when it drops to ~550 rpm. That’s normal behavior for High Output alternators and this model Toyota. I recommend a beefy battery bank and stout electrical for daily application. I wouldn’t recommend this one for demo purposes. Get the 240– you’ll thank me later.
